Student Impact Outside of the Classroom

Mar 24, 2014

As the semester picks up steam, PAA students enjoy Spring breaks that are nearly back-to-back.  March 14-23 marked the first of these and instead of visiting somewhere warmer, many members of the student body chose to participate in outreach across Canada and on an international scale.  A group of six students and one parent accompanied PACeS and the Alberta Conference Youth Department on a mission trip to Central America, where young people ran programs for children and assisted in the early construction of a brand new church building.

Nine other students, member’s of the 2013-2014 Dauntless ministry team, toured through Saskatchewan and Manitoba hosting worship services, making connections with students, and sharing about what God has done in their lives.  Dauntless is a student leadership opportunity that participants must audition for at the beginning of the school year.  They meet regularly to work on programming elements including praise bands, skits, and sermons.  Each year, they take their programs on the road touring churches and schools in Western Canada.  They will look forward to travelling as far as Winnipeg and Vancouver in the 2014-2015 school year.
