FAQs

Does the school offer entrance scholarships?
The Alberta Conference of the SDA Church is committed to a $1000 Entrance Scholarship for all new Grade 10 students attending PAA. This scholarship will be applied immediately at the start of the school year.

Does PAA have grants accessible to all students?
Yes! All students have access to an Honor Roll Grant. This is a $650 discount applied to student's accounts if their academic standing for the previous school year averaged 85% or higher

Why do independent schools charge tuition?
The government funding for public schools covers 100% of education costs. However, for independent (Christian) schools, they only cover a portion of those costs and do not fund any of the building costs or capital expenses necessary for a school to function. As a result, we charge tuition to help cover the remaining expenses. We work hard to ensure those costs are as minimal as possible, while still providing a high standard of education.

What do I do if I can't afford tuition?
If tuition expenses are outside your current means, please contact the business manager (see below) to begin the process of applying for student aid. We have many generous donors that help to fund this program to make PAA accessible to many.

I would like to sponsor a student to attend PAA, how do I do that?
There are a few ways you can donate. One is with the "Donate Now" button at the top of this page. You can also contact our business manager (see below) to arrange donations or you can give our office a call.
